ToiToi Manawa Rangatahi Program
A Program for Rangatahi who want to get into further education employment or an apprenticeship.

We are looking for 26 students for the first intake of our Toitoi Manawa program
Starts : June 2026rolling intake ( we are able to take enrolments after this date )
Finishes : July 2027 or when rangatahi have found employment or education.
The Toitoi Manawa Program might be the perfect program for either you ,or rangatahi that you might know. This unique program has a Māori Holisitic Health approach to improving your life circumstances. Everything is uniquely individualised and your success really depends on your ability to take what you learn and put it into practise.
You will have full support including:
- One on One life coaches assigned to you
- 3 days of interactive learning
- 2 days of getting out and getting things done
- 16 months in total of support from your life coach.
- There is transport available depending on need..
Students will have access to the services available at Tu Tonu including:
- Rehabilitation services- physio, accupuncture, massage therapisits, rongoa Māori practitioners.
- Gym facilities
- Counselling services.
Criteria for entry
- between the ages of 16 - 24
- willing to learn and change
- committed to making the most of the program
- wanting to get into further education, employment or apprenticeships.

Many people pay a lot of money to have a life coach to help them create healthy habits and overcome obstacles. Our rangatahi will be paired with a mentor who acts as a teacher, sponsor, advisor, agent, role model, coach and confidante. They are the key to the success of not only the rangatahi but our whole program.
Group Sessions

Rangatahi will also participate in group sessions which is aimed at creating whanaungatanga /connection, which is a basic human need in order to be healthy. These sessions are a safe place to talk about problems and find healthy solutions as well as getting a chance to explore new activities or ways of thinking.

This journal is connected with some of the teachings we give on our program, such as creating a morning and sleep routine, gratitude, planning, checking our thought patterns and building resilience. It is a valuable tool for self-awareness which can lead to huge improvements in “stuck” thinking.

We have modules in areas such as career and life, which covers things such as c.v creation, cover letter writing and interview techniques. Rangatahi will be able to access services provided at Tu Tonu and have the opportunity to get into work places for work experience. They will be able to sit driver licensing and certifications in various industries. Those who work hard may gain apprenticeships. The opportunities to grow, learn and develop are endless.
